Honkai: Star Rail Leak Hints at Several Upcoming Characters (2024)

A recent leak from Honkai: Star Rail is hinting at several major characters set to join the game's roster throughout the next few updates. The roster of the massively popular sci-fi RPG from HoYoverse has grown substantially since its launch, with several five-star characters releasing with every new update to the game. Honkai: Star Rail currently boasts nearly 50 playable characters for players to acquire through the in-game gacha system, with two more characters coming in Version 2.3. Now, several upcoming roster members are being teased.

While Honkai: Star Rail already features a sizable selection of characters, leaks have hinted at plenty more potential additions coming in the future. Version 2.4 has seen numerous leaks about its character lineup in recent weeks, with Jiaoqiu and Yunli both teased as the next five-star characters to join the game. Other prominent NPCs like Screwllum and Stephen Lloyd have been heavily rumored to eventually become playable within Honkai: Star Rail. A new leak is now sharing a plethora of details about the game's next character releases.

Honkai: Star Rail Leaks Multiple New Characters

A recent update from prominent HoYoverse leaker hxg_diluc via Uncle N is hinting at several characters coming to Honkai: Star Rail, including one surprise addition. The leak confirmed the existence of Jiaoqiu and Yunli as Version 2.4's featured characters, while also hinting at a new Healer and another Galaxy Ranger in Version 2.5. According to the post, Tingyun is also said to be returning with a new alternate version, similar to Dan Heng's five-star Imbibitor Lunae variant. The update concludes by suggesting that rumored character Feixiao is set to be one of the Penacony cycle's strongest characters, alongside the previously-released Acheron.

While the leak suggested multiple new additions are coming to Honkai: Star Rail, one character's absence was also explained further. Within the leak, hxg_diluc commented on previous rumors stating that Genius Society member Screwllum was supposed to debut in Version 1.6. Screwllum's kit is said to have been re-purposed into Version 1.6 five-star character Dr. Ratio, also suggesting that Screwllum will not be playable during the Penacony cycle. Screwllum has been one of Honkai: Star Rail's most heavily-rumored characters, playing a major role in multiple in-game events.

Honkai: Star Rail's multitude of character leaks for later versions will follow one of the game's biggest releases in Version 2.3. Honkai: Star Rail's next update will introduce Firefly to the RPG's playable roster, joining the game as a Fire Destruction character. Firefly plays a major role in the story of Penacony and serves as a central element of one of the world's biggest twists, with the character quickly becoming a fan-favorite.
