Sara Diaz, LCSW, a beacon of grace and resilience, has carved her own path in her family. Her op-ed in FIERCE by mitú is a reservoir of wisdom, a testament to her transformative journey that has the power to ignite change in lives. Here's an excerpt:"I was able to accomplish so much once I began to chase happiness and believe in myself [.] I can now show up for family on my own terms. I attend doctor’s appointments with my grandma without having to take PTO. Lastly, I can choose how much I charge for my services rather than having someone else dictate the salary I deserve. There is so much more to this, but I hope it provides the stepping stone to realize that you can live the limitless life of your dreams."Let's give a resounding shoutout to Yamily Habib El Fakih, whose platform has been a beacon of light for women like Sara, providing them with the opportunity to shine.CC: The First Gen Madrina, LLChttps://lnkd.in/ee2_iK9n

For many of us, Alexa PenaVega has been in our collective consciousness since "Spy Kids" (the one with Antonio Banderas). Recently, she and her husband Carlos PenaVega from Big Time Rush announced that their daughther Indy was "born at rest."It takes immense courage and grace to share such a profound experience, and I deeply admire the PenaVegas for their openness. This piece was a heart-wrenching journey to write, but it's a stark reminder that women's health, particularly fertility, is often overlooked in the media. There's a lot we still don't understand. Not only is it more common than we think it is, it's not deemed by the government as an emergant issue, so insurances don't cover autopsises that can provide information for research to understand stillbirths more. This is an ode to not only the PenaVega's but anyone who has experienced this.https://lnkd.in/eCwgr2ah

My gratitude practice began about two or three years ago, and while there have been some "gratitude vacations" throughout that time, the lasting benefits it's had on me have been truly life changing. Even when I'm not actively practicing, my mind continues to seek out the silver lining of the day, a testament to the enduring power of gratitude. In this blog article, I delve into the many ways gratitude can be seamlessly woven into your day. Are you an "early bird" kind of person, starting your day with a grateful heart? Or are you more of a "recognition round-up" person, reflecting on the day's blessings before bed?https://lnkd.in/ekE3JJyE

Support, in its various forms, has been transformative for me. Whether it's a kind word from a colleague or a boss who has provided a safe space during moments of work-related stress, this support has not only made a difference but also propelled my personal and professional growth. Support has also broadened my perspective in unexpected ways. Each person's approach to life is unique and wonderfully diverse, and embracing these differences has enriched my understanding and made me more versatile. Reflecting on your career, consider the impact of supporting colleagues and business connections. It's crucial; it's a responsibility we all share to foster a thriving work environment. What does receiving support from your network mean for you?

I'm super into affirmations, and I rely on apps like "Motivation," "I Am," or "Third Eye" to send me notifications throughout the day, helping me center myself. A recent one that I received said, "I invite calm into my life." It struck me how, in the blur of life, we often forget to invite calm in. How often do we finish one task and automatically jump to the next? That's why this particular affirmation/motivation resonated with me. How many times have I lost my calm because I was too busy focusing on everything that needed to get done? I'm sure many of you can relate to this. So, what have I been doing to invite calm again? I decided to resume my gratitude practice, which I do either in the morning or at night. I've also resumed going out for 10-minute walks again (they always end up being longer). I've also been intentional about sitting in my backyard with tea for at least 10 minutes while listening to frequency music (or sounds?). These simple practices have made a significant difference in my daily life. So, how do you welcome calm during your day or week? I would love to hear your methods and experiences. Your insights are valuable and could help others in their journey towards calmness. Comment below.

A thought just occurred: How do you all work past decision fatigue? We have a lot to figure out in our businesses and in life; sometimes, it can be very overwhelming. So, I was wondering what safeguards my fellow #entrepreneurs and #solopreneurs might have.
