Goodwill in Greenville, South Carolina, is offering something for every reader with thousands of books, all while expanding its mission in the community. It is introducing its newest venture, Second Story, at 115 Haywood Road, next to the Goodwill Clearance Center."It's a bookstore, one of the first ever kind. We have about 20,000 books for our readers, our lovers, all donated to help support the mission of Goodwill and our mission in the power to put people back to work," Chunsta Miller, Goodwill Upstate VP of Communications, said.The highlights of Second Story vary."As you know, we help our residents, our community. We're not just a retail store; that's a huge part of what we do, but that funnels the mission that we put out in the community, and Second Story is just another venture in that puzzle to help us make a difference," said Miller. "I would recommend anybody that's looking for a book to come here because all the books are in good shape, and they're easy to find, and it's just a really great store," shopper Lisa Watkins said.Goodwill understands the importance and value of a good book. "Reading and literacy is so important in life. The stories, the places that you can go, and we're giving books a new life, we're giving them a second story," Miller said. Book prices start at just $1. Goodwill is inviting everyone to see Second Story, it's open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
