Contra Costa Health currently has a great career opportunity for a Cardiology Services Manager to oversee the Cardiology Services program at the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) located in Martinez, CA and Health Centers within Contra Costa County.
Under direction, the Cardiology Services Manager will plan, organize, develop and supervise the coordination of care and treatment of patients, manage the outpatient and full-service cardiology EKG, EEG and Echocardiogram units, and supervise TEE, stress echo, Dobutamine stress, and Nuclear stress testing. The Cardiology Services Manager will also ensure the proper care and maintenance of assigned equipment, review required reports, oversee improvement initiatives to meet regulatory standards, and supervise staff.

What you may typically be responsible for:
- Interviewing and selecting personnel staff and approving and processing all payroll documents.
- Monitoring staff performance and participating in the development of competencies, performance standards and protocols.
- Ensuring compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) requirement, Title 22, California Department of Public Health, Federal, State and local agencies.
- Developing and implementing goals, objectives, policies, procedures and priorities to provide the best care to patients.
- Conducting staff meetings and managing other discussions to coordinate interdepartmental affairs.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a science or health related field.
Experience: Five years of increasingly responsible cardiac care experience in a healthcare setting, either inpatient acute care or outpatient, performing cardiology services with three years of experience at the lead level.
Certification: Possess and maintain the following certifications:
- Registered Cardiac Sonography program (RDCS) issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers, or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) issued by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Substitution for Education: Additional experience in a lead capacity in a healthcare setting, either inpatient acute care or outpatient, performing cardiology services may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis up to a maximum of two years.
The Board of Supervisors authorized the following future salary increases: 5% on July 1, 2024 and 5% on July 1, 2025.
Closing Date: June 7, 2024, but may be extended.
