15 Feet 2022 Custom Built Launch Built based on modified plans of a Harold H. "Dynamite" Payson design. Harold's original design was called the 'Cartopper' , an 11 foot open boat designed for either paddle or sail. I fell in love with the overall lines of the boat but wanted something larger - something that could be powered. I assembled the boat using the 'stitch-n-glue' technique outlined in Harold's plans. The side and bilge panels are of 3/8" ply with the bottom panel of 3/4" ply. The hull is fiber-glassed up to the gunwales and sealed with epoxy. The 'stitch-n-glue' technique makes for a very solid hull without the need for heavy internal framing. As a result, the boat is exceeding light despite the engine and running gear and can be easily towed by a small car or SUV.

17 Feet 1965 Century Resorter Owning a wooden boat was on my "bucket list" since I was a child spending summers with my family on Payette Lake in Idaho. I liked the Resorter for the name, but also, it's utility. You could put a lot of people in the boat, and it worked great to water ski behind.I found "May Fly" on a boat sales lot in Spokane, WA. It had been stored in a shed, for years -- the result of a divorce, I was told. The wood was not in good shape but there were no missing pieces, and the engine had been overhauled a few years earlier. We ran tests and I found that to be true. The boat was sold new at Tobler Marina on Hayden Lake in North Idaho. It ended up after restoration seven docks away from its original delivery point. She's christened "May Fly" for my wife whose middle name is May. I have replaced the alternator, starter and a few other miscellaneous parts. Two coats of varnish and top rail varnish have been applied this off season. The boat was restored to original with the exception of a color change to the interior. We always intended this to be a user boat rather than a show piece. When the International Classic Wood Boat show was in Coeur d'Alene I entered "May Fly" and she received a Silver Award. The judging sheet with comments is available. Illness is forcing us to find her a new home. I hope the new owner of "May Fly" has the same fun as we have had with her and can enjoy the camaraderie of the wood boat community.

27 Feet 1995/2017 Packard - Old Time Boat Co, Inc Custom Heritage Runabout "Cruisin" is a head turning beauty. She is a 1995 Packard Heritage model that has been carefully customized. 17 Feet 1953 Alexandria Boat Works Outboard From Alexandria Boat Works in in Minnesota, this magnificently crafted cedar strip planked boat is a truly beautiful example of a great quality regional boat builder. This particular boat is in fantastic condition with a nearly pristine hull. Pictures and video from May of 2024 show what a gem this boat is. The Evinrude outboard runs and sounds great. Alexandria Boat Works was a family business that made a variety of wood boats for 67 years until 1954 when they turned to fiberglass boats. The frames and strip planking on this boat are like no other. The plank seams are nearly undetectable on this smooth hull and it has been said ABW was one of the boat builders who claimed to have invented or at least perfected the convex-concave hull strips. The detail and craftsmanship in this boat is truly amazing.
